Frugal Fashion Finds

Frugal fashion finds, a lot of Fs, haha!  I am now slowly getting back to the swing of things, having managed my time more efficiently, and hopefully more blogging time for me.

For this year 2014, I promised myself to be wise with my hard earned money, and not be a spendthrift.  I will exercise control crossing fingers, what with all the BOGO sale, etc. NOTE - must.control.self.  I have low EQ by the way, hehe.  And with that, I will let you in on a little secret that I have discovered.   If you're looking to spruce up your wardrobe, here are some accessories that will surely not break your wallet.

I'm sure you're familiar with Daiso and Japan Home Centre, stores that sell items from Japan mostly for things you need (and never thought you'd need) around the house like plastic containers, kitchenware, bento boxes, mats, tools, arts and crafts, personal care, party needs, etc., etc. Who would've guessed that I would find trendy accessories in that store?

From Tokyo, Japan (hmm?) for only 88 pesos.

Chunky pearl necklace

Can't decide which one to get between the two, so I got both (okay, I'm a hoarder, moving on!)

Bracelet with mint green roses.  Comes in other colors too, might go back for the lilac one.  As far as I can recall it comes in black, mocha, lilac, gray and blue.

Yup, still at 88 pesos.

Here's how they look like when worn.  Makes a boring plain top more stylish and yeah, wear it like a true-blue diva . . .

If you like it, head on over to your nearest Japan Home Centre as these are snagged faster than you can say Japan! Japan!  Hurry! Hurry!

Oh, by the way, bought mine at Japan Home Centre in Festival Mall, Alabang.

Ninja shots taken from my camera phone, hah!

Remember, looking good should not break the bank.  Any frugal fashion finds you wish to share? Caring is sharing , toodles!!!

I'm Hot and I'm Cold - But Never Lukewarm

Hello lovely Divas! Things have been awfully quiet in here. I haven't posted in a while.  Right now, I'm enjoying this fine weather we're having.  Yup, the days have been cooler I LOVE IT!!! Sweater weather.

What's more perfect is a hot cup of tea or chocolate shared with your loved one. My mom sent over two big tubs of

I was like, "Ma, really, two tubs? You know we don't drink coffee right?"  My mom said, "Basta it's masarap promise."  And so, it sat in our cupboard, until one chilly night, Jellybean and I wanted to have a midnight snack ...

It says it can be enjoyed hot, cold or blended.  Hot is too hot. Cold - well we're already feeling a bit chilly.  Why not have something hot and cold at the same time right? Woohoo!

A not so original idea, haha!  It was late at night and we really didn't have whipped cream.  We figured since we had a lot of ice cream left over from New Year's it will have to do.

Tadah! That straw really sealed the deal.  But wait, since we're on a sugar rush, what to pair it with?? Hmmm, let's see...

Something salty and crunchy?

Choco chip perhaps?

Malt balls, hmm why not?

We chose all of the above!  Ackkk, there goes my diet.

My mom was right, we have been enjoying this drink a lot.

Midnight snack shared with my Jellybean, sweets for my sweet, aww!

Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!

Okay, sorry for the lame title, can't think of anything smart to say right now. My mind is still in a holidaze mode - can't believe the holidays are over and Jellybean and I had a blast on our anniversary staycation date (I will do a post on that).

I have been so lazy and sluggish the past few days, must still be under sugar coma from all the sweets I've consumed, bad!bad!bad!

Time to jumpstart my diet and exercise regimen for 2014, AND WHAT BETTER WAY AS I HAD JUST WON my first ever writing contest for the Blogapalooza event.  My entry was for the Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass!! I placed 3rd, yey and got 1000 pesos worth of gift certificate.  WOOT!! WOOT!! OH YEAH!  I went to their office in Makati to claim my prize.

After all the unhealthy food I consumed this holiday, time to detox.

With my gift certificate, I was able to get a box of Wheatgrass Herbal Drink Powder that has 2 g x 30 sachets.

If you want to learn more about wheatgrass, check out my post here - Like Momma Used to Say, Eat Your Veggies

Winning this is very timely, no more excuses for me.  I can really start the year right with the right nutrition, diet and exercise.

Thank you very much Easy Pha-Max, I LOVE MY WHEATGRASS!

Love January 2014

They say time flies when you're having fun.  Can't believe that Jellybean and I are celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary on January 5.  We thank God for guiding us every step of the way and for the blessings we are receiving.

LOVE bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. - 1Corinthians 13:7

Our relationship is far from perfect, we have ups and downs, but we try hard and pray always.

6 Lessons for our 6th Year:
1.  God is in charge, no one is the boss except HIM!
2.  Love is patient.
3.  If you want your happy everafter, you have to work hard for it - that and prayer helps.
4.  Forget the past and learn from it.
5.  Everyday is a good day, enjoy each other's presence.
6.  Fall in love with the same person over and over again.

Love, love, love to everyone!

Happy New Year 2014

Let us welcome this New Year with positive vibes and hopes in our heart.  May this day and the coming days be full of blessings, happiness and love.

2013 was great, thank you Lord!

2014 will be smashing and even better.  I'am so claiming it!!! Cheers everyone!!!
